If you watch your mouth, then your thoughts will watch themselves!

Silence is a Weapon

Proverbs 16:32

[32]He that is slow to anger is better than the mighty; and he that ruleth his spirit than he that taketh a city.

Proverbs 17:27-28

[27]He that hath knowledge spareth his words: and a man of understanding is of an excellent spirit.

[28]Even a fool, when he holdeth his peace, is counted wise: and he that shutteth his lips is esteemed a man of understanding.

Matthew 27:12-14

[12]And when he was accused of the chief priests and elders, he answered nothing.

[13]Then said Pilate unto him, Hearest thou not how many things they witness against thee?

[14]And he answered him to never a word; insomuch that the governor marvelled greatly.

Mark 14:60-61

[60]And the high priest stood up in the midst, and asked Jesus, saying, Answerest thou nothing? what is it which these witness against thee?

[61]But he held his peace, and answered nothing. Again the high priest asked him, and said unto him, Art thou the Christ, the Son of the Blessed?

Mark 15:3-5

[3]And the chief priests accused him of many things: but he answered nothing.

[4]And Pilate asked him again, saying, Answerest thou nothing? behold how many things they witness against thee.

[5]But Jesus yet answered nothing; so that Pilate marvelled.

Luke 23:8-10

[8]And when Herod saw Jesus, he was exceeding glad: for he was desirous to see him of a long season, because he had heard many things of him; and he hoped to have seen some miracle done by him.

[9]Then he questioned with him in many words; but he answered him nothing.

[10]And the chief priests and scribes stood and vehemently accused him.

Isaiah 53:7

[7]He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth.

Acts 8:32

[32]The place of the scripture which he read was this, He was led as a sheep to the slaughter; and like a lamb dumb before his shearer, so opened he not his mouth:

James 3:2-13,18

[2]For in many things we offend all. If any man offend not in word, the same is a perfect man, and able also to bridle the whole body.

[3]Behold, we put bits in the horses' mouths, that they may obey us; and we turn about their whole body.

[4]Behold also the ships, which though they be so great, and are driven of fierce winds, yet are they turned about with a very small helm, whithersoever the governor listeth.

[5]Even so the tongue is a little member, and boasteth great things. Behold, how great a matter a little fire kindleth!

[6]And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of hell.

[7]For every kind of beasts, and of birds, and of serpents, and of things in the sea, is tamed, and hath been tamed of mankind:

[8]But the tongue can no man tame; it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison.

[9]Therewith bless we God, even the Father; and therewith curse we men, which are made after the similitude of God.

[10]Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be.

[11]Doth a fountain send forth at the same place sweet water and bitter?

[12]Can the fig tree, my brethren, bear olive berries? either a vine, figs? so can no fountain both yield salt water and fresh.

[13]Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him shew out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom.

[18]And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace.
