Attributes of Holiness Holy Understanding: Add Nothing, Neither take nothing away! Pure and Holy! First: Things that make unholy & defile... Leviticus 10:10 [10]And that ye may put difference between holy and unholy, and between unclean and clean; Ezekiel 44:23 [23]And they shall teach my people the difference between the holy and profane, and cause them to discern between the unclean and the clean. Matthew 10:1 [1]And when he had called unto him his twelve disciples, he gave them power against unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease. Matthew 12:43-45 [43]When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest, and findeth none. [44]Then he saith, I will return into my house from whence I came out; and when he is come, he findeth it empty, swept, and garnished.

[45]Then goeth he, and taketh with himself seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter in and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first. Even so shall it be also unto this wicked generation. Romans 1:21-32 [21]Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Romans 6:16-23 [16]Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness? [23]For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. 2 Corinthians 6:14-18 [14]Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? [15]And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?

[16]And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. [17]Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, [18]And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty. 2 Corinthians 7:1 [1]Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God. Ephesians 4:17-24 [17]This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind, [18]Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart: [19]Who being past feeling have given themselves over unto lasciviousness, to work all uncleanness with greediness.

[20]But ye have not so learned Christ; [21]If so be that ye have heard him, and have been taught by him, as the truth is in Jesus: [22]That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; [23]And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; [24]And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness. Ephesians 5:1-11 [1]Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children; [2]And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour. [3]But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints; [4]Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient: but rather giving of thanks. [5]For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God. these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience. [7]Be not ye therefore partakers with them. [8]For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light: [9](For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;) [10]Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord. [9]Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds; [10]And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him: 1 Thessalonians 4:7 [7]For God hath not called us unto uncleanness, but unto holiness. Revelation 18:1-2 [1]And after these things I saw another angel come down from heaven, having great power; and the earth was lightened with his glory. [2]And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird. Enoch 90:7-9

[7]When therefore iniquity, sin, blasphemy, tyranny, and every evil work, shall increase, and when transgression, impiety, and uncleanness also shall increase, then upon them all shall great punishment be inflicted from heaven [8]The holy Lord shall go forth in wrath, and upon them all shall great punishment from heaven be inflicted [9]The holy Lord shall go forth in wrath, and with punishment, that he may execute judgment upon earth. Matthew 15:8-11 [8]This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me. [9]But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men. [10]And he called the multitude, and said unto them, Hear, and understand: [11]Not that which goeth into the mouth defileth a man; but that which cometh out of the mouth, this defileth a man. Mark 7:18-23 [18]And he saith unto them, Are ye so without understanding also? Do ye not perceive, that whatsoever thing from without entereth into the man, it cannot defile him;

[19]Because it entereth not into his heart, but into the belly, and goeth out into the draught, purging all meats? [20]And he said, That which cometh out of the man, that defileth the man. [21]For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, [22]Thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness: [23]All these evil things come from within, and defile the man. 1 Corinthians 3:16-20 [16]Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? [17]If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are. [18]Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you seemeth to be wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be wise. [19]For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness. [20]And again, The Lord knoweth the thoughts of the wise, that they are vain.

Titus 1:15-16 [15]Unto the pure all things are pure: but unto them that are defiled and unbelieving is nothing pure; but even their mind and conscience is defiled. [16]They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate. Hebrews 7:26-27 [26]For such an high priest became us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens; [27]Who needeth not daily, as those high priests, to offer up sacrifice, first for his own sins, and then for the people's: for this he did once, when he offered up himself. James 1:26-27 [26]If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man's religion is vain. [27]Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world. Revelation 14:4-5

[4]These are they which were not defiled with women; for they are virgins. These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth. These were redeemed from among men, being the firstfruits unto God and to the Lamb. [5]And in their mouth was found no guile: for they are without fault before the throne of God. Revelation 21:23-27 [23]And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof. [24]And the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of the earth do bring their glory and honour into it. [25]And the gates of it shall not be shut at all by day: for there shall be no night there. [26]And they shall bring the glory and honour of the nations into it. [27]And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb's book of life.
